Dear Beers Street Families,
Progress reports are available in the parent portal today. If you have any issues accessing the portal, don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Sansolo at 732 264-1107 ext. 3001.
The Scholastic Book Fair is on Wednesday, October 19th. Please look for flyers on Monday.
We are encouraging staff and students to wear pink on Friday, October 21st, for breast cancer awareness month.
The Halloween Dance is Friday, October 28th, from 3:00 - 4:30 PM. Students are encouraged to wear black and orange. Be on the lookout for a permission slip in the coming days.
Beginning Monday, all homerooms will compete in our Silly String-O-Ween fundraiser. The money raised will go towards field day activities. The homeroom that raises the most money gets to spray the principal with silly string at the Halloween Dance on October 28th! Students may submit cash or check (checks made out to Beers Street PTO) to their homeroom teacher or donate via Venmo @beersstreetpto. Please include your child's name, teacher, and Attention: Silly String-O-Ween. Thank you for your support!
On Monday, October 31st, students may wear their Halloween costumes to school. However, please, no costume masks or weapons. Please do not bring snacks or treats to school.
Tutoring for language arts and math will begin next week. Language arts tutoring will be offered on Tuesdays, and math tutoring will take place on Thursdays. Tutoring sessions go from 2:50 - 3:45 PM. There is no bus for tutoring. Therefore parents should make transportation arrangements. Teachers will recommend students for tutoring. If you would like your child to attend tutoring, please complete this form and return it to your child's homeroom teacher.
Online Homework Help will also begin next week. Online homework help is offered Monday through Thursday from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Students can ask questions, go over homework, or review a concept they may not fully understand. Students must join the Online Homework Help Google Classroom to attend. The code to join is xxw37fp.
