Letter from the Principal

April 21st, 2023

Dear Beers Street Families,

Report cards are available in the parent portal. If you experience any issues accessing the portal, please contact Mrs. Sansolo at 732 264-1107.

Next Friday, April 28th, we encourage students and staff to wear red for neurodiversity. ADHD, autism, and dyslexia are some examples of neuro-diverse conditions. We strive to remember that we all learn in different ways.

We are also holding the spring dance on Friday, April 28th, from 3:00 - 4:30 at Beer Street School. Permission slips were sent home. You can also print one here. Admission is $5.00. Students may not walk home and must be picked up from the dance. Please return permission slips by Wednesday, April 26th.

The PTO is holding a Mother's Day bundt cake sale. Order forms were sent home this week. Please click here for more details and the order form.

Below are important upcoming events:

Art Show - Wednesday, May 10, 6:00 - 7:00 PM (PTO Meeting to Follow)

Spring Concert - Friday, May 19, 1:30 - 2:30 PM on the playground

Drama Club Production - Friday, June 7, 7:00 PM

When emailing the school nurse about your child's absence, please send the email to bssattendance@hazlet.org. You may also continue to report absences by calling nurse Pat Raphael at 732 264-1107, ext. 3003. Thank you!

Language arts tutoring is offered on Tuesdays, and math tutoring on Thursdays. Tutoring sessions go from 2:50 - 3:45 PM. There is no bus for tutoring. Therefore parents should make transportation arrangements. If you would like your child to attend tutoring, please complete this form and return it to your child's homeroom teacher.

Online Homework Help will also begin next week. Online homework help is offered Monday through Thursday from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Students can ask questions, go over homework, or review a concept they may need help understanding. Students must join the Online Homework Help Google Classroom to attend. The code to join is xxw37fp.

Thank you, and have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Ian Collis

Principal
