To: Parents of Special Education Students
There has been significant misinformation and assumptions made concerning the Board’s action at the Monday, June 19th meeting, where a special education position in the district was not filled. As you may know, all Boards of Education are prevented from discussing any specifics regarding any individual employee of the school district in public. In addition, all discussions in closed executive session must remain confidential and a release of any information from those sessions could result in ethics charges as well as place the school district in legal jeopardy. However, this letter will attempt to clarify any misinformation or misconceptions that have been circulated throughout our community on this matter.
