Breakfast: Students have the option of ordering breakfast daily. You will receive a breakfast order form each Thursday, which must be filled out for the entire following week and returned on Friday. This is important to complete if your child is ordering breakfast that week.

Breakfast menus will be sent home monthly and can also be found on the Sycamore Drive homepage, under Quick Links, then e-backpack.

Lunch: Students have the option of bringing their lunch to school, or ordering lunch daily. Please complete the order form in your child's folder and leave it their folder for the entire week. There are several lunch choices, so a written selection ensures they get the lunch you and your child select.

Homework: Homework reinforces what we are learning in class. Students should write their name on the top of each page given for homework. Homework assignments should be completed in pencil, unless there is coloring involved. If something needs to be colored in, please use colored pencils or crayons, as markers can be very messy and smear easily.

Absences: Parents/ Guardians are responsible for notifying the school on or before the first day of a student's absence. To report an absence call 732- 264-2180, listen to the menu and press 1 for the “Attendance Line and Nurse”. You may also email sdeclcattendance@hazlet.org and please CC me to report an absence. If a child is absent and we have not received a call, school personnel will attempt to call the parent/ guardian. This procedure is to ensure each child’s safety.

Dismissal: Students are dismissed as either: a bus rider, a walker, a flex-time student, or an after-care student. Please email me if your child will not be dismissed their established way, if someone else will be picking up your child, or if your child will be leaving school early. If it is a last minute change, or after 12:00 PM, please call Mrs. Chionchio directly, (732) 264- 2180, ext. 8001, to ensure I get the message.

Personal Belongings: Please clearly label all student belongings (backpack, lunch box, jackets, etc.) with your child's first and last name.

Extra Clothing: Please send in a change of clothes, in a Ziploc bag, labeled with your child's name, in the event of a spill or accident. This bag will be kept at school.
